As we honor our earthly fathers, this Sunday, let us remember that we are all created in the image and likeness of our Heavenly Father! We are all born into this world with both the Father/Mother image; the male/female in each and every one. Biblically speaking, Father-God represents protection, wisdom, strength, steadfastness, courage, support, patience and unconditional love. If some of us grew up with fathers who were, perhaps, less than this “perfect image” we can bring forth that Heavenly Father idea, within, to fill us with those qualities we may not have learned from “Dad.” We do this through prayer and meditation. We can rise above that personal father image to the Universal Image and Likeness to bring forth, in our own lives, higher more expansive expressions of the Divine Father. Happy Father’s Day!!
