Music Director Jaquelyn Woodroffe has been a professional singer, published songwriter and musician for many years. Her resume includes being a recording artist for Capitol Records and a couple of Indie labels. She has extensive experience in a myriad of styles, including country, rock, jazz and spiritual music.
Jaquelyn believes that music is a ministry, helping to prepare us for the spiritual message and anchoring it in our hearts. The old saying that “singing is praying twice” is her favorite way of expressing how she feels about her service here at Unity Way Church.
She is joined on Sundays — both services — by Bruce Grafrath, a world-class jazz bassist, and Ed Kornhauser, an extremely talented and popular jazz pianist, both of whom are equally adept at a myriad of other styles, as any particular song requires. They are often joined by professional violinist Betty Ritter and vocalist Dianne Wilson.
SPECIAL MUSIC: We recently had world-renown pianist Violeta Petrove, as a guest. For the special music, she played, “Love’s Dream.” Listen, below. Such talent is rare!
