The story of Moses is our story. Likewise, the story of Jesus is our story. We often forget that Jesus was a Jew, and that everything he said and did was from that perspective. His teachings were not original – they were founded on the Torah and on the law. He simply uncovered a deeper dimension of the law – living it, not only in actions (the letter of the law) but spiritually and mentally (the spirit of the law). Because of this, he was truly a radical of His time. However, his teachings changed the world, and can change ours, too, if we will but follow.
